What's on the horizon?
Such things as delivery of more specific information and expansion of email list services by state and province and business categories, things to make things easier, notices emailed to members of how many times their personal listings are being read, and about 30 more enhancements and upgrades, on line training programs, live marketing session grouping of listings for associations, companies, world database of members searchable by specialty and market area, offline production of listings, automatic delivery of the complete database to your computer, upgrading of design since many people now view information on their television, and more!

March/2000
This was a milestone of sorts.  After more than one year of planning and searching we changed our server and software.  This was a major change.  With this change the average response time is now 4.9 seconds for searches. The program is multi threaded meaning thousands of people can access the database at once instead of waiting in line while one is being processed.

May/99
Set up group functionality.  The service can now accept databases of listings from companies and associations. Provides for both company and individual service.   Company administrators can globally manage the listings and members.  We welcome Royal LePage Commercial Real Estate Inc.

Added the FSBO area.  Everyone in the world can add their have or want free.   Only Executive Members can read this information.  The FSBO area is now searchable by category and key word as well as the latest.  There is a limited view of this area for the public. FSBO area.

March/99
Made it easier to modify and delete a members listings.  Click on Member Links, log in, click on My Listings.  Choices to modify/delete are beside each listing.

February/99
Added a completely separate For Lease area.  Now you can search for an area, city and a lease category and sort them in many ways including square footage.  You can preselect with a minium and maximum square footage.  Try choosing industrial buildings over 10,000 sq.ft. in Ontario, sorted by area (sq.ft.) in descending order; it gives you the highest ones first.

January/99
Added EMailing List Services - when a member places a have or want message on the service, not only does it reside in a searchable database but instantly and automatically a copy of it is sent by email to another computer that is the server of email.  People can subscribe and receive a copy of listings by email.  People can tailor these email services to deliver only the category and area they prefer.

Backups of the database are created daily at 6am and made available on line.  One can download a business category or the complete database with contact names and numbers.   It provides not only another way to obtain information in the case of other ways being temporarily unavailable but also is powerful in listing presentations.  http://www.iciworld.net/real_estate/

October/98
Added ability when doing a key word search to sort by price.  Try a key word search.   This is good to find all the properties in your city (ie: by location) or specific business type and sort them by price. Type gas in the subject line and sort by price.    Type your city in the subject line and sort by price.  You could also type in Power for power of sales and sort by price.
Statistics 70,139 The main computer is now located in New York.
September/98
Added ability for members to place a link such as "Commercial Database" on their own web pages so that when people visit their own web page and click on that link, it pulls their listings off of ICI World and displays them on the screen of the viewer.   It's like having ones own $50,000 database right from their own home page.   All that is needed is to add a link to their home page. For a sample see: http://www.northernwebsites.com/gbrunet/
