The Lodge: Situated on a protected point near the southeast portion of the lake, the camp has five guest cabins. The main lodge has a dining room with a spectacular view of the lake. The dining area serves as a gathering place for leisurely conversation at meal time The newly expanded and remodeled main lodge is equipped with a radio and satellite phone in case any of our guests must maintain contact with home or office or in case emergency communication is necessary. The cozy lodge is a relaxing area for reading, card playing and conversations with other fishermen. The Cabins: Guests don't have to bring any bedding or sleeping bags... just personal items such as tooth brush, shaving items, and casual clothing, the lodge takes care of the rest. All cabins have hot showers, comfortable beds, and plenty of room to hang up your gear. Each well constructed cabin has indoor bathroom facilities including hot showers for freshening up after a day on the water. The cabins sleep from four to eight people. The Outpost Camp: The owners made renovations to the outpost cabin and it now holds 10 people, has solar power, screened in porch, running water, shower house, outhouse, newer boats, good motors. Guests have to reserve well in advance as the Outpost Camp has been very popular for those that wish to explore nature on their own terms. The Fishing: Trophy pike! Guests can get a taste of some of the best Northern Pike fishing in North America! If the guests like the challenge of fly-fishing for big pike they won't find better action anywhere else. The lodge is located in the Northwest Territories of Canada. The lake is nearly 1,000 sq. miles of cold clear water, with countless bays and islands. The Lodge itself is located on an island in the middle of the lake and is only accessible by float plane. The camp consists of 6 guest cabins, Main Lodge/Dining Room, and Central Shower House. The season is limited to 10 weeks, from the end of June through August. The present lodge owners pride themselves on personal service, taking only 12 guests at a time for each of the packages. This means lots of elbow roomand they book space well in advance. The Fishing The lake offers Northern Pike, Lake Trout and Arctic Grayling. Arguably one of the best combo Pike and Lake trout fisheries anywhere.They get more pike fishermen early in the season and more Trout fishermen later in the season, any of the 10 weeks they are open will give the guests of the lodge a good chance at a trophy fish of either species. They track the fish caught each year in the lake. Both 25lb & 30 lb fish are not uncommon for the season. There are NO FLY OUTS...it is not necessary as all the fish caught are from the main lake. The lodge practises strict catch and release as well as expecting guests to use barbless hooks. Lake Trout are caught by either casting or trolling in open water. The lake is 65 feet at its deepest, and most of the open water is less than 30 feet never requiring down riggers etc. for Lake Trout. Pike are caught in the bays casting into weeds and sometimes even sight casting for them. Arctic Grayling caught near the river on the south end of the lake. The Accomodations The guest cabins accomodate 2-3 people. Carpeting, heat and electricity are standard in each of the lakeside cabins. |

The Lodge: This drive-in lodge facility is cozy and rustic with the guest to staff ratio at just the right level for personalized service. The office and store has a small but well stocked grocery area that features many of the guests camping needs and essentials. Also offers a well-stocked tackle shop for the guest's convenience. The Cabins: The lodge has ten light housekeeping cabins, each of them features two bedrooms, a kitchen with fridge stove oven and sink. In addition each cabin has a deck with table, chairs and a firepit for enjoying the outdoors day and night. A number of campsites are also available for those fisherman who bring their own accommodations. Power and water available along with showering and washroom facilities. The Fishing: Guests of the lodge enjoy some of the best fishing Northern Saskatchewan can provide. This lake is a northern fresh water lake hosting northern pike, walleye, pickerel and other species of fish.You don't have to venture far from the lodge to experience great fishing. Guests will enjoy the fresh air, sunshine and warm breeze while battling a northern pike, enticing a walleye, playing with feisty perch or matching off with jumbo whitefish and pickerel. The Hunting: The lodge offers hunting packages for Deer, Bear & Goose. Deer Hunt All hunting locations are accessible only by boat or quad. Single and double stands are available for the guests. Deer hunts are from either a ground blind or a tree stand that is fully enclosed and heated. Bear Hunt The lodge runs a remote camp accessible only by boat located on the north shore of the main lake. In operation for the last three years with a success rate of 75% or better. This camp features a camp kitchen, and sleeping tents for guests, guides and the cook. The camp also has a shower building with heated water. Goose Hunt Goose hunting offered on the central flyway in Saskatchewan. The lodge uses layout blinds and hunt the stubble fields with a large number of decoys. Hunts have been very successful taking mostly snows, blues, ross and speckle belly as well as a few lesser Canada's. History of the lake: Deeply trod ancient portages and trails give telltale if mute evidence to the lake's pre-history. The lake area was a rich ground in which to harvest fish, fur and game for centuries, and the old trails linking it to other nearby lakes and settlements would seem to say this was always so. Lake Size: 640 Sq. Kilo. Just as the forestland and waters of the area provided an enjoyment of life since the times when primitive but efficient hunter-gatherer skills were enough to yield up a livelihood, it continues to do so. Scattered fishing camps were established all around and on the islands of the lake by an influx of settlers from the south after the turn of the last century. Those hardy settlers lived as well as one could imagine by drawing on the magnificent fish resources of the lake and the plentiful game that abounds in the region. The resort is situated on the northeastern shore of the lake with a southern exposure. Nestled in the shade provided by pine and poplar trees on a protected point of Precambrian Shield granite, it's truly a picture perfect backdrop. The cabins and lodge sleep four to six and are fully furnished, including running water, electric or propane fridges, propane stoves, wood stoves, electric and propane lights, propane heaters, and complete cooking and eating utensils. This resort is a float plane-only accessible location with boat caches, and a professionally managed trophy pike and walleye fishery. The only resort on the lake. Quality fishing this is easy and so close to the resort, the guests will be spoiled. The lake has excellent flow, with three tributaries coming in and two going out. On the Lake, you can fish trophy northern and walleye without wasting valuable time traveling. Within minutes of departing from the resort, it is easy to find a spot where the moving water seems to be funneling the walleyes towards your boat, or where several big pike are jockeying for the cover of a weedbed. A 53.5" pike that was caught and released, was hooked just 150 yards from the dock! If the guests feel adventurous, they can portage into one of Lodges boat cache lakes. Walleye average 17-24" and Northern average 27-40" (with many Master Anglers). |

The Lodge This lodge is situated northeast of Yellowknife, Northwest Territories on the rocky and rugged Canadian Shield and is only accessible by float plane in the summer. Guests of the lodge will have the entire lake to explore, fish, eat and relax as there are no other resorts on the lake. Guests of the lodge truly enjoy this little corner in the boreal wilderness. Over the last three years the owner has upgraded to new boats, renovated all the cabins, installed new woodstoves, built a new addition to the main lodge with a screened deck and added many other upgrades and facelifts. Newer dock, boats and motors in 2005. In 2006 and 2007 renovations to the guest cabins, staff accommodation, kitchen, dining room, and the grounds were completed. The six hole par three golf coarse was fixed up, and the hot tub and gazebo were completed. A new 25 KW generator was added and the old 15 KW is now the standby generator. The internet satellite service was improved and appliances and wood stoves have been replaced. Full Turn-Key operation. The Accommodations There are three guest cabins at the Lodge, each consisting of a main room, two bedrooms, a bathroom with shower, fireplace, kitchenette, fridge and a large screened in veranda. Each cabin can sleep up to six people Carpeting, heat and electricity are standard. The lake is well known for the excellent fishing and the lodge for the clean comfortable accommodations, and first class service. The Fishing This Lake has a very healthy fishery; the lake is 50km long (30 miles) and has over 800 islands, so there is lots of productive fish habitat. This Lodge is the only lodge on the lake so the guests have the entire lake to explore and find their favorite fishing holes. Boats 16 food Crestliner welded aluminum boats with 4 stroke motors, radios and fish finders. Guests can keep in touch with other boats and with the lodge over the radio system. Things for the guests to do: Fishing, hiking, sightseeing, golfing on the 6 hole boreal "golf course", viewing historical mining artifacts, picking berries, relaxing, socializing, viewing wildlife, playing horseshoes, swimming, sitting around a fire or enjoying the hot tub. If the guests want to do something other than catch a lot of fish, they can spend time hiking and exploring one of the abandoned gold mine sites in the area dating from the 1930's and 40's. If the guests have binoculars and a camera they may spot local wildlife. Guests have viewed wolves, moose, black bear, grizzly, bald eagles, golden eagles, otters, loons and lots of ducks. This Lodge is a great place for the whole family, young and old.
