The Main Lodge

Seven Outposts

World class lakes to fish from one sensational setting! If the guests are looking for a five to seven day trip, these five-star outposts have no equal in Canada's North. With trophy Northern, Walleye and Trout thriving in these waters anglers don't have to look far for their big trophy catch! Emerald blue waters provide the medium for the finest Trout fishing you can find in the spring and fall. When these fish are in the shallow water 100-150 Trout per boat is no exaggeration. All camps have hot and cold running water and showers.

Stretching over an area eight miles long and approximately five miles wide, this lake is the centerpiece of the lakes.

Outpost #2

Darker water, vast weed beds, islands, underwater reefs and the fastest action Walleye fishing in the country describes this lake to a tee. This lake produces Walleye averaging from 2-4 lbs. and Northern up to 47 inches. This lake will leave the guests telling stories for years to come.

Outpost #3

This lake offers the best Walleye fishing early in the season. Walleye are caught and released from 6-10 1/2 lbs. Over the last two years, fisherman have been simply amazed at the size of fish they are catching here!

Marvel at the majestic beauty. The lodge guests have fished this lake for over a decade all have practiced catch and release from day one, with outstanding results. This lake is approximately 6 miles long with several tributaries, reefs and great weed bed development. The tranquility of being the only cabin on a lake which is home to bald eagles, moose, caribou and countless numbers of big Northern and Walleye makes this lake a fisherman's dream. The lake produces Northern Pike from 41-48 inches along with plenty of trophy Walleye. The charming eight man cabin has all the comforts of home as do all of the outposts, with air telephone, propane fridge, freezer and stove and all utensils. Last year the owners added running water and hot showers for the guests to enjoy after a day on the lake. After fishing this lake guests of the lodge will not have to look any further for next years destination as return trips have become the reputation of this Lake!

Cannot say enough about this lake and how it produces. With great weed beds to back troll and drift over, this lake gives fisherman action plus! Guests will find fantastic Walleye and Northern Pike that just wont quit. This body of water covers a distance seven miles long, with a river to the south and several creeks converging on it from every direction. Picturesque narrows join the lake and its sister lake providing beautiful sheer rock faces and gorgeous tree lined shores. The lake has just one cabin, with running water and hot showers just added last year! This gem of a lake will provide all the fun and excitement the guests of the lodge would expect from a northern Canadian fishing adventure.

Location:

These lakes were an important link in the historic Upper Track fur trade route of the late 1700’s when competition between the Hudson Bay Company and the North West Company was fierce. Both trading groups had posts or “houses” on the Lake in the 1790’s. Famed map-maker and surveyor, David Thompson, wintered here in 1794. Later fur traders set up store. The Lake had an active copper-zinc mine on its south shore until the mid 1990's, when it ceased production.
The islands on this lake have provided excellent calving sites for the woodland caribou herds. Lucky visitors of the lodge may catch a glimpse of these seldom seen creatures on or near the islands in spring. The islands also provide welcome shelter for canoeists crossing the big water on the river canoe route.

This Canadian fly-in fishing resort has quality cabins which are nicely spaced for privacy along the naturally sandy beach. Four cabins, each sleep 4-8 people. Many of the lodge guests opt for the American Plan fishing package, eating breakfast and dinner in the lodge dining room with fabulous unobstructed views of the lake. If the lodge guests wish to do their own cooking during their stay, each of the remote resort cabins has complete cooking and eating facilities. If you are seeking a quality resort with excellent fishing and beautiful surroundings, you need go no further.


Each of the lakeside cabins is fully equipped with all the modern conveniences that the guests expect, a deck overlooking the lake, a barbeque grill, showers and flush toilets. The diesel generator allows the guests to feel right at home, supplying power to the cabins 24 hours a day.

THE LOCATION:

The resort is situated on an island in Eastern Manitoba within 60 miles flying distance of an air-base. Fly-in float plane service will bring the guests right to the lodge dock, which means there is very little delay in getting your guests on the lake and fishing before they know it.

THE FISHING:

This Lake provides excellent fishing opportunities for the avid angler. This lake provides all the walleyes you can possibly consume. No live bait needed. Invariably the guests end up casting for the "monster northern pike".

THE LAKE:

Huge volumes of fresh water turn over daily making this one of the best systems for Canadian walleye and northern pike fishing. An endless variety of structure provides habitat and forage for the resort guests quality fishing experience. The lake is 50' deep, and is fed by the cold Canadian waters of a number of rivers. Though the Lake is 35 miles long, the guests are usually fishing within 10 miles of the lodge, no need to go any further for fantastic fishing for walleye and pike!
